We get weekly emails asking why our shampoo bar is better than the bottle of dog shampoo next to it at Petco. We thought we'd write it down once.
Our rosemary shampoo bar is 7 ingredients. The leading liquid dog shampoo is 22.
Why 22? They include water. Bar shampoos don't need water. So we skip it. Then we skip the 5 synthetic surfactants. We skip the 3 parabens. We skip the synthetic fragrance. We skip the propylene glycol.
What's left: saponified coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, rosemary essential oil, oat kernel meal, vitamin E.
Read those names. You could put most of them on a salad. Most commercial dog shampoo ingredients you'd struggle to pronounce. We chose ours so you don't have to.
Last thing: one bar = ~60 washes for a medium dog. Most bottles are 30 washes. You save plastic, you save money, your dog smells like rosemary. Wins across the board.
