Why every ORBIT piece has a material passport

Every ORBIT garment ships with a QR code that opens a Material Passport — a public-facing page detailing every thread, every dye lot, every factory, and the names of every worker who finished the piece.

Sounds dramatic? Maybe. But we believe transparency is the baseline of regenerative fashion. Anyone can claim they 'upcycle'. We publish the receipts.

The passport breaks down the piece into three layers: where the fiber came from, who spun it into yarn, and who sewed the final garment. Each layer lists a factory, a city, and a per-piece carbon cost in kilograms of CO2e.

We launched the passport in August 2025 with FW25. By 2026 it will cover every piece we've ever sold. By 2027, every piece our suppliers have ever sold.

Real traceability is hard. It takes years of supplier relationships. It takes retooling factories. It takes saying no to suppliers who can produce 4x faster but won't open their books.

But it's the only honest answer to 'where did my clothes come from?'

And once you've seen a real Material Passport, the empty promises on every other tag in your closet become unbearable.
