Seven machines,
properly chosen
Msheireb Downtown, Doha
We stock five makers and seven laptops. Not a catalogue — a shortlist, with the reasons written down and the trade-offs stated rather than buried.
Start with the work
Tell us what the machine is for and we will tell you which of the seven it is, including when the cheapest one is the right answer.
Three-year cover
Parts and labour included on every machine, not sold separately at the till.
Loan while repaired
Same tier or better, so a repair never costs you a working week.
14-day return
Opened or not. If it is the wrong machine, it is the wrong machine.
Next-day in Qatar
Ordered before 18:00, delivered anywhere in the country the next day.
Specs in full
Every port, every panel figure, every weight — before you buy, not after.

Thin, or fast?
Almost every laptop decision is this trade and nothing else. Both columns are machines we sell; neither is the better one.

Why seven and not seven hundred
01
We buy one and use it
Every machine on this page was bought at retail and used for a month by someone here before it was ever listed.
02
We read the service manual
If a maker will not publish one, or glues the battery to the chassis, we do not stock the machine. That rules out most of the market.
03
We write the trade-off down
Every listing names the thing the machine is bad at. A shortlist is only useful if it tells you when to buy the cheaper one.

Configuration, cover and the honest bits
If you mostly write, browse and take calls, the Tessel Everyday 14 at QAR 2,199 is the right machine and the rest of this page is a waste of your money. If you carry it daily, the Aria 13. If colour matters, the Studio 15. If it never leaves a desk and must last, the Nordwerk W16.
On the Nordwerk W16, the Umbra Vantage 16 and the Tessel Everyday 14, yes — the memory is socketed and the service manual shows you how. On both Kestrels and both Foundrys it is soldered to the board, so the size you choose at checkout is permanent. Each product page says which.
Parts and labour for hardware faults, a loan machine of the same tier or better while yours is with us, and diagnosis at the Msheireb counter without an appointment. It does not cover accidental damage, liquid, or a battery worn down by normal use below 80% health.
No. Five makers, seven machines. We are asked for the big-name brands constantly and the answer is still no — the shortlist is the product, and it stops being one the moment we start stocking whatever sells.
Yes. Every price shown includes VAT and the three-year cover. Delivery is free anywhere in Qatar on orders placed before 18:00. There is no configuration fee and no charge for setting the machine up at the counter.
Bring it in and we will quote against it, including machines we do not stock. If it has no trade value we will still take it for recycling and wipe the drive in front of you, whether or not you buy anything.
