Gold, weighed
and named.
Jaipur · since 1934
Four generations on Johari Bazaar. Every piece leaves with its weight, its hallmark, its maker and its making charge printed on the bill — because a jeweller who hides the making charge is hiding the price.
The bridal edit
Polki, kundan and temple work, made to order in ten to twelve weeks.
BIS 916
22kt, assayed and stamped, six-digit HUID on every piece.
Rate locked 24h
The rate at the moment you order, held for a full day.
Making charge shown
Gold value and making are separate lines on every bill.
Lifetime exchange
At the prevailing rate, at any of our counters, forever.

The bench
Six techniques, and the towns that still hold them.
We name the cluster on every product page. A craft without a place attached is a marketing word, and this trade has enough of those.
“My father set stones for a house that never printed his name. Here it goes on the certificate.”
Jaipur
Kundan
Refined gold foil worked cold around a stone until it holds. No prongs, no solder, no heat.
Jaipur
Jadau
The setting method behind polki — the gold is worked around each uncut stone on the bench.
Nathdwara
Meenakari
Vitreous enamel fired into engraved gold. Traditionally on the face nobody but the wearer sees.
Kumbakonam
Temple work
Struck rather than cast, so the surface catches light unevenly the way old pieces do.
Cuttack
Filigree
Drawn silver and gold wire twisted and soldered into open lacework. Measured in hours, not grams.
Hyderabad
Lac inlay
Mirror and thread set into lac over a metal core. Not gold, and never sold as gold.

How the price is built
Gold value, making charge, GST. Three numbers, all of them printed.
Gold value
Gross weight × the 22kt rate on the day you order. The weight is on the product page before you add to bag, not discovered at the counter.
Making charge
A percentage of the gold value, shown as its own line. Hand jadau runs 30%, machine-set runs 8-12% — if a jeweller will not tell you which, that is the answer.
Rate locked 24 hours
Gold moves overnight. The rate at the moment you order is held for a full day, so the price you decided on is the price you pay.
Set by hand.
Worn for three generations.

From our customers
Bought for a wedding, kept for a lifetime.
“The bill listed gold weight, rate, making charge and GST as four separate lines. Three other jewellers quoted me one number and would not break it down. That is why I bought here.”
Lakshmi V.

“Ordered the suite eleven weeks before the wedding. Two fittings, the colour matched across all four pieces, and the rate was locked at the advance even though gold went up.”
Nandini R.

“Exchanged my grandmother's chain against the kada. They weighed it in front of me and showed the deduction. No argument, no theatre.”

Buying gold
Hallmarks, making charges, exchange.
Anything not answered here, message the atelier on WhatsApp — a person replies, usually the same day.
916 means 91.6% pure gold — 22 karat. BIS is the assaying authority, and since 2021 every hallmarked piece also carries a six-digit HUID you can look up on the BIS site to confirm the assay office, the jeweller and the purity independently of us.
They track labour, not gold. Machine-set pieces run 8-12%. Hand kundan runs about 25%. Jadau — where the gold is worked around each uncut stone — runs 30% and takes fourteen weeks. We print the number on every product page so you can compare it against anyone.
Yes, for 24 hours from the moment the order is placed. On a made-to-order suite the rate locks when the advance is paid, not at delivery — so a rising market is our problem, not yours.
Exchange against any purchase at the prevailing gold rate on the gross weight, minus the original making charge. Outright buyback is the prevailing rate minus 8%. We weigh the piece in front of you and show the arithmetic.
Indian bangle sizing runs 2.2 to 2.10. Measure around the widest part of your hand with the thumb tucked in, then match it to the chart on the product page. For a made-to-order suite we size at the first appointment.
Every order ships fully insured to its declared value, signature required, anywhere in India. High-value pieces go by insured courier with a two-hour delivery window agreed by phone.
