Stitched, not glued
A welt is a strip of leather stitched to the upper and to the sole. It costs more to make and it is the only construction that lets a sole come off without destroying the shoe.
Resoled as often as it needs
Four weeks, return post paid, for the life of the upper. We have taken pairs through five soles. The welt is the limit, and we replace that too.
And the honest part
The running and trail shoes are cemented and cannot be resoled. Foam midsoles do not survive the process. We say so on every one of those pages rather than at the bottom of a FAQ.

Welts, sizing, resoling, returns
If it is not here, message the fit team — a person replies, usually the same day.
The upper and a strip of leather called the welt are stitched to a rib on the insole, and the outsole is then stitched to that welt. Nothing structural is glued. It means a cobbler can cut the outsole stitching off and put a new sole on without touching the upper — which is the only reason a shoe can last decades.
No. The boots are welted and can be resoled indefinitely. The racer, the everyday runner and the trail shoe are cemented — their foam midsoles cannot survive being taken apart. Each of those three pages says so in its construction block.
Every page lists UK, US men's, EU and CM together. UK 8 = US-M 9 = EU 42 = CM 27.0. Measure your foot in centimetres at the end of the day, standing — CM is the only one of the four that is a measurement rather than a convention.
