A letter from the studio
“We don't make scents that smell like other things. We make scents that smell like this specific place, this specific moment, this specific memory.”
— Inez Marchetti, Founder
The house
Big Sur,
2021.
Halcyon started as a 4-square-meter cabin on a cliff in Big Sur. We had a single copper still, a notebook of ingredient sketches, and the California coast.
Five years later we have 12 scents and the same copper still. We still hand-fill every bottle. We still ship from our porch.
We don't believe in seasons. We don't believe in mass production. We believe in a single scent, made slowly, named after the thing it smells like.

Featured notes
Top · Heart · Base
Every Halcyon scent is structured like a chord.

Top
First 15 minutes
The opening — what you smell right away. Citrus, herbs, sea air.

Heart
First 3 hours
The body of the scent — the part people remember you by. Florals, woods, resins.

Base
After 6 hours
The dry-down — what stays on your skin the next morning. Amber, musk, smoke.
