Hand chikankari on mul cotton — roughly four hundred hours of it, across six stitch families. Held to the light it reads as shadow work rather than thread, which is the whole point of the technique.

- · Dry clean only for silk; cold hand wash for cotton and khadi
- · Dry in shade — direct sun flattens a natural dye within a season
- · Store folded with the zari inward, never on a hanger
- · First wash will bleed a little on hand-dyed cloth. That is the dye, not a fault
